Amy Akerley, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC

Amy earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Fairfield University in 2022, where she also competed as a Division I soccer athlete. She began her nursing career at Yale New Haven Hospital as a medical-surgical telemetry registered nurse before advancing to the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at YaleNew Haven Hospital's St. Raphael's campus, where she gained experience caring for patients with complex medical needs. She later earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Fairfield University in 2026.

Amy is committed to preventive healthcare, patient education, and partnering with individuals to support long-term wellness through proactive, evidence-based care. She believes that effective healthcare begins with a strong partnership between provider and patient and emphasizes early intervention whenever appropriate.

Through clear communication and collaborative decision-making, Amy helps patients better understand their health and care options while supporting them in achieving their long-term wellness goals.

As part of the CT ENT Sinus Center team, Amy provides care for a variety of ear, nose, throat, sinus, and allergy-related concerns, including:

• Sinus care in Connecticut for congestion, infections, and chronic sinusitis
• Allergy evaluation and management
• Nasal obstruction and breathing concerns
• Ear infections, ear pain, and hearing issues
• Throat and tonsil problems
• Postnasal drip and chronic cough
• General ENT and allergy care in Connecticut

Outside of work, Amy enjoys hiking, visiting national parks, skiing, running, and spending time at the beach.
